William Edward "Bill" Fichtner (born November 27, 1956 in East Meadow, New York) is an American actor. He is often credited as William Fichtner and occasionally as Bill Fichtner.
After graduating from State University of New York at Brockport with a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice in 1978, Fichtner decided to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. He began his acting career as Josh Snyder in As the World Turns in 1987.

Crash. He is best known as a
character actor, taking on supporting roles.
Credited as "Bill Fichtner", he lent his voice to the character Ken Rosenberg in the popular video games Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. From 2005-2006, Fichtner also starred in the science fiction drama series Invasion as Sheriff Tom Underlay. After Invasion was cancelled, Fichtner was chosen to play Agent Alexander Mahone in Prison Break.[1]

NHL.com, William posted on the celebrity blogs stating how he got into hockey saying, "When I was just a kid, I lived between two school districts and right between the two, at the end of my street, there was a creek. When that creek froze every winter, the older kids would get together and play hockey. Nobody had goalie equipment, so they put me into enough goalie pads and thick clothes as they could find and they stuck me in net. Little did they know I couldn’t get enough of it!". He is also a fan of the
Buffalo Sabres.
