Jamie M. Luner (born May 12, 1971 in Palo Alto, California) is an American actress, best known for her role as Lexi Sterling in Melrose Place.
Background
Luner comes from a Jewish family and attended Beverly Hills High School. Following the cancellation of the series Just the Ten of Us, she attended the Epicurean Cooking School in Los Angeles, then apprenticed as a cook and landed a job as a chef in a French restaurant.
At the age of four she made her first commercial for a
tissue paper advertisement.
Career
Luner first appeared in the TV series Growing Pains as Cindy Lubbock, whose father Coach Lubbock and her nine siblings spun off into the TV series Just the Ten of Us (1988–1990). She also appeared on Growing Pains a couple of other times as different characters (in the episodes "Some Enchanted Evening" and "Happy Halloween").
After leaving acting to become a chef, Luner returned to acting in 1993 in the television movie Moment of Truth: Why My Daughter?.
Luner is best known for portraying two vixens- Peyton on Savannah (1996) and Lexi in Melrose Place (1997–1999). She also appeared as Rachel Burke in the NBC crime drama Profiler (1999–2000), replacing Ally Walker.
Luner also appeared in a well-known photo for the October 1997 issue of
Details magazine where she was photographed in her underwear, along with
Melissa Joan Hart and
Jeri Ryan.
