"Turn It Up" is a song Paris Hilton's debut album Paris The song was planned as the second single from the album, but the plans were scrapped and "Nothing In This World" was sent out in its place. Parishiltonrecord.com confirms in its 'News' section that "Nothing In This World" is the second single. The song still headed to clubs, however, and the promo single that contained several remixes were sent to clubs, and made available for purchase. The single went to #1 on Billboard US Hot Dance chart. The single was released in Canada, but did not enter the respective singles chart because it received limited airplay and a music video was not comissoned.

The track was previously set to be the first lead single off the album, with a release date set for May 9, 2006; however, "Stars Are Blind" was released first.
At the beginning and at the end of the song, Hilton can be heard whispering "Scott Storch"; the track's producer. Also her famous quote "That's Hot" can be heard at the beginning.
The track has been released as a download single track in the iTunes music store as of July 12, 2006; although iTunes music store says it was released July 18, 2006.
