Single White Female is a 1992 thriller based on John Lutz's novel SWF Seeks Same. The movie stars Bridget Fonda, Jennifer Jason Leigh & Steven Weber and is directed by Barbet Schroeder, who also directed Reversal of Fortune.

Plot

Allison 'Allie' Jones (Bridget Fonda) places an ad in the press for a 'Single White Female' like herself as a roommate.

Along comes a seemingly perfect roommate, Hedra 'Hedy' Carlson (Jennifer Jason Leigh). However, soon enough, things start to get weird. Hedra begins to mimic Allie's character and appearance (she cuts and dyes her hair to resemble her, and starts wearing her clothing) and even seduces and later kills Allie's boyfriend by striking him in the face with one of her stillettos which penetrates his brain through his eye socket and kills Allie's puppy by dropping it out of the window.
