Shake That is a song from Eminem's 2005 Curtain Call: The Hits greatest hits album. It is one of three new songs released on the album, and was the album's second and last single release, following "When I'm Gone." The song features Nate Dogg in a prominent vocal role, marking his fourth Eminem collaboration, following "Bitch Please II" from The Marshall Mathers LP, "Till I Collapse" from The Eminem Show, and "Never Enough" from Encore. Both also appeared on Xzibit's "My Name", from the album Man vs. Machine, and Lloyd Banks' "Warrior Part 2" on the album The Hunger For More, bringing their total number of collaborations to six. "Shake That" is the first of these songs to include Nate Dogg during verse, whereas his contributions in the other works are limited to the refrain and the outro.
The single was a big hit when it was released in the US, peaking at #6. In the UK, "Shake That" was released as a download only single in April 2006 and managed to peak at #28 on the download chart. Due to the fact there was no physical single release in the UK, the song could not chart in the overall official UK singles chart as chart regulations state that there must be a physical single release available for a song to chart. "Shake That" was recently nominated for "Best Rap/Sung Collaboration" at the 49th Annual Grammy Awards.
