Scriptware is WYSIWYG word processing software for film, television and theater writers. It automatically formats to an industry-standard script format. Scriptware also tracks and marks revisions for scripts in production.

Scriptware claims to have become the first word processing software to do real-time, WYSIWIG, formatting and pagination in 1992.^{[citation needed]} It was the first program to implement a "tab-and-enter" typing system (Scriptype) that freed the user from using macros or special key commands.^{[citation needed]}
