Save the Tiger is a 1973 film which tells a story of moral conflict in modern America. It stars Jack Lemmon, Jack Gilford, Laurie Heineman, Thayer David, Lara Parker and Liv Lindeland. Lemmon plays Harry Stoner in a bleak story that depicts an outwardly successful man questioning the value of the material prosperity he's desperately trying to maintain. Lemmon and Gilford play men who run an apparel company and are in financial trouble. Over the course of two days, Stoner considers torching his warehouse for the insurance settlement, his main client suffers a heart attack in a tryst Lemmon arranged, he meets a free-spirited hitchhiker, and breaks down at the premiere of his company's new line.
