Romain Duris, born May 28 1974 in Paris, is a French actor.
Biography
From a family of artists, Romain Duris fell into acting by chance. He was noticed by a casting director whilst waiting in a queue in 1993 and offered a part in the
Cédric Klapisch film
Le Péril jeune. False starts in art and music (he started an
acid-jazz band at one stage) preceded his career as an actor. With his dark looks, capable of alternating between mischief and malice, he has acquired a reputation for versatility. The release of 2005's
De battre mon coeur s'est arrêté established him as one of the most exciting young talents in European cinema.
