Robert Patrick (born November 5, 1958) is a Saturn Award-winning American film and television actor. He has a considerable cult following amongst moviegoers.
BiographyEarly lifePatrick was born in Marietta, Georgia and spent his early life in Ohio. He was a track and field and football athlete at Bowling Green State University, although he dropped out before graduating. Career
In 2000, Patrick appeared in several episodes of The Sopranos as a store owner struggling with gambling debts owed to DiMeo Crime Family capo Richie Aprile, and to Tony Soprano. Patrick also became well-known on the small screen in his role as Agent John Doggett from 2000 to 2002 in the final two seasons of The X-Files. More recently, in 2005's Academy Award-winning Walk the Line, and in the TV Mini-series Elvis, Robert Patrick played the role of the father of Johnny Cash and of Elvis Presley, respectively. He currently has a regular role on The Unit, and is scheduled to finish filming Lonely Street, a comedy caper where his role is that of a certain Mr. Aaron, a mysterious celebrity thought to have faked his own death and who is none other than Elvis Presley. In October 2006, he starred in the WWE Films production, The Marine, as Rome, the villain. He was a casted member in "We Are Marshall" as the Marshall University head coach Rick Tolley, who lost his life in the historic plane crash. His credits also include a cameo role in a single episode of Lost. Patrick is the narrator for the Spike TV show, Disorderly Conduct: Video on Patrol.
Personal lifePatrick is married to actress Barbara Patrick who appeared with him in some of his films such as Zero Tolerance and as Barbara Doggett in two episodes of The X-Files. He has a daughter (Austin) and a son (Samuel). Almost every year, he does the Love Ride, a charity motorcycle ride held annually in Southern California.
