"Nothing in This World" was released on September 122006 and is the second official single taken from Paris Hilton's debut album Paris. This song was also the theme song to Paris Hilton's MTV special This is Paris. In United Kingdom, the single was released on November 62006 for the physical sales [1] with the single being possible to download a week earlier. The single made number 12 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart and number 89 on the Pop 100.
The music video for Nothing in this World was shot by Scott Speer in Los Angeles on September 5th and 6th, 2006, in Pasadena and Long Beach Polytechnic High School, California. In this video, Hilton parodies teen-flick The Girl Next Door with her own mock movie trailer in which the socialite-turned-singer plays a sexy starlet loved and adored by an incessantly teased, teenage neighbor. Elisha Cuthbert, the original Girl star, makes a cameo. The video premiered on September 22 as an AOL First View. The video also premiered in Canada on MuchMusic. The video is also popular on Youtube, having received more than two million views. The Video also spent 7 weeks on the VH1 Top 20 Video Countdown, where it peaked at number 5 during it's fourth week.

Paris Hilton's debut "Stars Are Blind" got off to a fast start at radio, with its fresh, sun-splashed reggae vibe—even those who ridicule her vacuous image had to admit it was a tasty little pop morsel—but it stalled surprisingly fast, just scratching the Pop 100 top 15. While aborted second single "Turn It Up" still heads to clubs, duly remixed, Warner Bros. is now calling for top 40 adds with "Nothing in this World," another undeniably catchy, hook-happy midtempo jewel. The vocal is strikingly similar to "Stars"—mercy, does this mean that Hilton can actually sing? Sounds like Miss Paris could teach top 40's superstars a thing or two about melody. And with her Billboard 200 debut at a lofty No. 6 this issue, the public seems to agree. Who would have ever suspected? — Chuck Taylor

Many critics, however, were biting in their reviews. Many thought Paris' vocals to be over-produced, with 'every vocal flaw smoothed out'.
Trivia
This song is written by "Dr. Luke" and Sheppard Solomon, the producers behind Natalie Imbruglia's second biggest hit "Shiver" and Kelly Clarkson's biggest hit, "Since U Been Gone." However on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" Hilton claimed to have written the song.
