Lynn Chen (Chinese: 陳凌; pinyin: 陳chén 凌líng) (born 24 December, 1976 - ) is an American actress.

Biography
At the age of five, Lynn made her debut on the stage of The Metropolitan Opera House in a
ballet featuring
Rudolf Nureyev. Two years later, she became a
singer on the same stage as a member of the Met’s Children’s Chorus. She worked steadily between The Metropolitan and NYC Opera House for three years, during which she landed the role of
Ngana in the
Broadway revival of
South Pacific. She decided to put off performing and focus on her education, graduating from her high school in
Cresskill,
New Jersey, and attending
Wesleyan University in
Connecticut. But she couldn’t stay away for long. After a few years working as a waitress, a teacher, a musical director, and an administrative assistant, she decided to pursue a professional acting career. She has worked steadily ever since, appearing in numerous
commercials and promos for
Disneyworld,
MTV, she has also done
voice-over work for the
Olympic Games and
Coca-Cola, television shows, and films. Lynn is also a
musician, having studied
classical piano since the age of seven. Between acting jobs, she is busy composing music for solo projects,and with her band,
YPOK2, and is currently writing a few screenplays. Lynn Chen is best-known for her role as Vivian Shing in
Sony Pictures Classic's feature film
Saving Face. Voted
Outstanding Newcomer at the 2006 Asian Excellence Awards. Has a podcast, called "Actors Off" with actress Christine Meyers.
