The following is an episode list for the Fox animated television series The Simpsons. The series premiered on December 17, 1989 and is currently in its 18th season. It has also been renewed for a 19th season and further seasons are possible.[1]

As of March 25, 2007, 394 episodes of The Simpsons have aired.

Currently, the first nine seasons are available on DVD with further releases pending. It has been confirmed that Fox Home Entertainment will try to release two seasons per year.[2] A feature-length movie, set to open on July 27, 2007, is now in production semi-independently of the television series.[3] The series is a spin-off of The Tracey Ullman Show, in which the titular family appeared in animated short films.
