Liane Balaban

Liane Balaban (born June 24, 1980) is a Canadian actress most famous for her role as Agnes-Marie "Moonie" Pottie in New Waterford Girl(1999). Born in Toronto, Balaban made her debut as the 15-year-old 1970s misfit longing to escape the Cape Breton coal-mining town in New Waterford Girl. She made a successful follow-up with Saint Jude (2000) directed by John L'Ecuyer. Balaban also starred in the 2002 horror film Spliced, co-starring Ron Silver. Balaban was a journalism student at Ryerson University, Toronto and currently hosts her own show on the internet.
