The Lady Davina Elizabeth Alice Benedikte Lewis (born 19 November 1977) is the elder daughter of Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester and The Duchess of Gloucester, née Birgitte Eva Henriksen (later van Deurs). She is currently 21st in the line of succession to the British throne.
On 31 July 2004, Lady Davina married Gary Lewis, a New Zealander and nephew of noted author Witi Ihimaera. The wedding took place at the chapel of Kensington Palace, Lady Davina's childhood home. Her husband, Gary Christie Lewis, was born on 15 August 1970, in Gisborne, New Zealand. He is a builder and a surfing enthusiast, and has a natural son, Ari (born c. 1992), by a previous relationship. He is the first person of Māori descent to marry into the British Royal Family. The couple had known each other for four years, having met on vacation in Bali when the future bride had finished her studies. Apart from the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, no other members of the Royal Family were present at the wedding.
Lady Davina is now styled Lady Davina Lewis.
