"Just Lose It" is a song by American rapper Eminem, released in 2004. It was the lead single from his worldwide hit album, Encore, which was also released that year. The song had caused some controversy, as its content and also its music video had attacked Michael Jackson, who was being accused of child molestation at the time. The song also pokes fun at Pee Wee Herman, Beavis, MC Hammer, Madonna, and others. Two skits regarding the Michael Jackson controversy were included on Encore, "Paul (Skit)" and "Em Calls Paul (Skit)". The matter was also mentioned in a song from The Anger Management Tour 3 Mixtape entitled "Get Off My Nuts".
In 2005 "Just Lose It" was included on Eminem's greatest hits album, Curtain Call. "Just Lose It" is Eminem's first hit song ever to not contain any uses of the word "fuck". VideoThe music video for "Just Lose It" is considered controversial and generated trouble with singer Michael Jackson and many music channels. It was banned on the BET channel, after complaints from Benzino and others (but was later reinstated, as critics of the ban argued that Nelly's Tip Drill video could be seen. Both were only seen on BET: Uncut.) However MTV did not drop it, and the video became one of the most requested on the channel.
The video was later nominated at the MTV Video Music Awards for Best Rap Video, but lost to Ludacris' "Number One Spot". Trivia
