Microsoft IntelliPoint is the Microsoft brand driver for Microsoft's IntelliMouse series of mice. Microsoft has released a version for both Windows and Mac OS X.
IntelliPoint supports all known Microsoft mice, as well as generic 3/5-button mice. However, advanced features may only be available on certain models (the users select their mouse's type inside the program and gets that mouse type's specific button selection).

Special features
The users can define their mouse's buttons to execute any program or action they desire, and can even also define them for different usages in different programs.
Limitations
As of version 6.1, the program still doesn't let the users edit either extra multimedia buttons (i.e. extra buttons above the standard 3/5 ones), such as the ones Wireless Notebook Presenter Mouse 8000 possesses, or the mapping of the scroll wheel.
