Eugene "Gene" Reynolds Blumenthal (born April 4, 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio) is a former actor turned writer and producer/director.

Biographical information

Gene grew up in Detroit, Michigan and spent the first ten years of his life there. His father was a businessman and entrepreneur named Frank Eugene Blumenthal. His wife is Ann Sweeny Reynolds and his son is Andrew Reynolds.

Professional achievements

Gene Reynolds' most prominent work includes his writing on the TV series M*A*S*H from 1972-1977.
