Plot summary
Speedee Cabs is a great success, which means its workaholic owner Charlie (Sid James) starts neglecting Peggy (Hattie Jaques), his wife. Suddenly a fleet of rival taxis appears from nowhere and start pinching all the fares. The rivals are Glamcabs, and they have a secret weapon. All their drivers are very attractive women. It's open warfare and only one fleet can survive.

Trivia
- The first film in the series to feature Carry On regular Jim Dale.
- Originally planned as a non-Carry On film, called Call Me A Cab. Midway through it became part of the Carry On series.
- After the previous entry in the series, Carry On Cruising, was filmed in colour, this instalment marked the series' return to black and white.
- This film was the first and last to feature Michael James, now an English teacher at the prestigious Norwich School. He played a boy-scout.
