Calabasas High School is a four-year high school, freshman-senior, in Calabasas, California of the San Fernando Valley . It is one of three high schools in the Las Virgenes Unified School District (along with Agoura High School in Agoura Hills, California and Indian Hills also located in Calabasas, California), as well as the closest high school to the west of the Los Angeles Unified School District. Due to this, it is frequently in competition in every aspect with El Camino Real High School, located on the north side of the 101 on Valley Circle Boulevard, about a mile north of Calabasas High. Some of the competition is due both schools having students come from all parts of the San Fernando Valley. El Camino Real naturally has more Valley students, but Calabasas High has a very high and significant number as well.
Calabasas High was ranked #776 in Newsweek's "Top 1000 U.S. High Schools" poll.[2]
On September 26, 2006, Calabasas High School was awarded the National Blue Ribbons Award, an award that puts the school in the top 3% of high schools nationwide.
