Boris Kodjoe, (born March 8, 1973 in Vienna, Austria) is a multilingual actor and former male fashion model. Named one of the "50 Most Beautiful People in the World" by People Magazine in 2002, Kodjoe starred in the short-lived sitcom Second Time Around (2004 - 2005) with wife Nicole Ari Parker. He played the role of David Taylor, the wayward son of Pastor Fred Taylor in the October 2005 film The Gospel.
PersonalHis mother is German psychologist and father is Ghanaian physician. Fluent in German, French, English and some Spanish, Kodjoe aspired to be a professional tennis player. A back injury ended his tennis aspirations; however, he was quickly discovered for modeling and soon after fell into acting. He has a brother named Stewart and a sister named Nadja. On June 20, 2004, Kodjoe and his Soul Food: The Series co-star, Nicole Ari Parker, became engaged. Their first child, Sophie Tei-Naaki Lee Kodjoe, was born on March 5, 2005. The two later married on May 21, 2005 in Gundelfingen, Germany. Their second child, a boy named Nicolas Neruda Kodjoe, was born October 31, 2006 in Seattle, Washington. Filmography
