Blas Elias

Blas Elias (born August 18, 1967) is the drummer of rock band Slaughter. He also drums for the Las Vegas production of Blue Man Group.

Biography

Born August 18, 1967 in Kennedy, Texas, Blas Elias Gomez learned to play drums in junior high school. However, his first gig was playing guitar in eight grade. He also plays some keyboards.

After graduating, Blas got into college but soon dropped out to dedicate to music full-time. Before joining Slaughter he was in three other bands: Blacksheep, ZRocks, and Night Flight.

Blas is also an avid computer fan. He has taught himself everything he knows about it, and designs the band's website. He has also worked on the enhanced portions of their CDs. His favorite sports are snowboarding and waterskiing but his biggest fear is being eaten by sharks.
