Bill Lawrence (born 1969[1]) is a creator, writer, producer, and director of television programs.

Career
Lawrence has written for hit shows including Friends, Boy Meets World, and The Nanny and produced the animated series Clone High. He is also the creator of the sitcoms Spin City and his current venture, Scrubs, which is in its sixth season (of at least seven) on NBC. He is also one of the producers of the rejected television pilot Nobody's Watching.
Along with many
Scrubs cast members, Bill Lawrence also has a small role playing himself in
It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie in a scene with
Miss Piggy.
In a recent episode of Scrubs, Bill appeared as an extra in the maternity center.
Personal life
He is married to actress Christa Miller, known for her roles on The Drew Carey Show and Scrubs. The couple has three children: Charlotte Sarah (2000), William Stoddard (2003), and Henry Vanduzer (2006).[1]
Lawrence graduated from the College of William and Mary with a bachelor of arts degree in English.
