When I was 6 or 7 I taped this movie off tv and 20 years later I still watch it every Halloweentime. This is one of my alltime favorite and lesser known Halloween specials. I read someone's extremely p.c. ... Read More

3. Tall Tale: Unbelievable Adventure
starring: Patrick Swayze, Oliver Platt, Roger Aaron Brown, Nick Stahl, Scott Glenn
directed by: Jeremiah S. Chechik

Customer Review:
TALL TALE has the potential to be an excellent film. The possibilities of a tall tale adventure with Pecos Bill, Calamity Jane, Paul Bunyan, and John Henry should be great. This isn't.
The two stars I gave it are for two ... Read More

7. Waiting for Guffman
starring: Lewis Arquette, Bob Balaban, David Cross (II), Paul Dooley, Brian Doyle-Murray

Customer Review:
Great movie which basically does for community theater what Spinal Tap did to rock and roll.

Not quite as well done as Best in Show or a Mighty Wind, but still a classic.

8. Wyatt Earp
starring: David Andrews, Linden Ashby, Adam Baldwin, Kevin Costner, Jeff Fahey

Customer Review:
Among the unintentional laughs was the dramatic walk to the OK Corral by the Earps and Doc Holliday. This should have been released as a comedy.
Another flawed, but still excellent, version of the Earps was "Tombstone."

starring: Jim Carrey, Liam Aiken, Emily Browning, Kara Hoffman, Shelby Hoffman
directed by: Brad Silberling

Customer Review:
I think this is a lush, mystical film with disturbing undertones and a twisted layout. I think Jim Carey is great, the soundtrack sets the tone of the film and the cinematography, costumes and make-up are well-done. I am a big fan of Disney productions, however. I feel ... Read More
