Edit can refer to the following:

• flavor editing, the connecting of shots to form a sequence, and the subsequent connecting of sequences to form a film
• audio editing, the process of taking recorded sound and changing it directly on the recording medium
• film editing
• edit (MS-DOS), a plain text editor for MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows

• edit, contains commands relating to the handling of information

• edIT, the recording name of Edward Madill
• "Edit", a song appearing on Regina Spektor's 2006 album, "Begin to Hope"
• The process in which you proof-read a peice of writing.
