In July 2007, Americola integrated Wikipedia information into its website to provide comprehesive biographies on a very large number of celebrities. This information was downloaded from Wikipedia:Database dumps section on April 14th, 2007 and is stored on Americola's servers.
The content of Wikipedia and of AmericolaWiki is licensed under the GNU Free Documentation License. This means that you may redistribute it, verbatim or modified, providing that you comply with the terms of the GFDL.
AmericolaWiki is a celebrity wiki, that is, a special type of website that allows visitors to edit and expand the wealth of its content. In other words, it is possible to edit and improve upon the pre-populated content we obtained from Wikipedia and to add new content.

Picsearch Content
In July 2006, Americola teamed up with Picsearch, one of the three largest image search providers in the world having over 1.7 billion searchable images. Every month over 100 million new fresh images are added to the database. Since its start, Picsearch has focused on relevancy (finding the right image) and family friendliness, two criteria that have always been of prime importance to Americola.
At the same time, Picsearch expanded its offer to include video search and agreed to allow Americola to be the first to go live with video search.
