Charlie Rose with George Shackleford (April 21, 2004)
Rating: -
With the help of an expert, Charlie Rose delves into the psyche and importance of Paul Gauguin. George Shackleford brings the works of Gauguin to life with personalized, historical accounts of what led the artist away from France to--literally--the opposite end of the world. The discussion is accompanied with images of the various paintings as they are explained. For those that prefer a documentary over an interview, this may not be desirable. However, as an interview, it is about as good as it could have been.
