Princess Diaries (Clam)  Rating: Rating:  - Great Movie!This movie is great!! It's wonderful for girls (of all ages)and maybe guys. It's funny and very different. Definately a very fun movie. Rating:  - Cute Ugly Duckling FilmTo be honest I rented this elsewhere rather than having the DVD, so this is a short review on the movie itself. Anne Hathaway is the ugly duckling who gets picked on and made to be "invisible" as she says. Another reviewer thought this Disney family film was sexist which is furthest from the truth -- of course it isn't! Hathaway's character is totally suppressed and made to feel like a duck until she gets a makeover and the boy she thought she loved turned out to be a jerk. Mandy Moore, who later went onto churning out the teenage pop music of today sings a song here as well. Julie Andrews of course is the mega-star of the film; it's interesting that her My Fair Lady film was also of an ugly duckling becoming something better than she is. In fact, she was that way all along. In "Princess" we watch a charming journey to that goal. Nicely done. And the cat was a great actor, too. Not your usual dorky teenage comedy, with just enough charm to make it watchable. Didn't make my usual four or five stars because I felt the papparazzi could have been better played and the clear romance with Andrews' character was not pumped up a bit. Oh, great scenes of San Francisco and Willie Brown! Rating: - great and easy transaction!Great and easy transaction--fast shipping and product arrived in great condition.
