Rating: - "a great listen on any given day"
After 25 films or more Woody Allen gives us a glimpse into the world of filmmaking, book publising, fashion and television. Mr. Allen wrote and directed this unique film which takes place in New York and the various characters lives and their strife in the everyday hustle and bustle to survive.

The music is vintage with some highlights - Errol Garner the "Debussy of Jazz" selections are "WILL YOU STILL BE MINE" and "LULLABY OF BIRDLAND" are classic. Garner has this "classical style" which only he can duplicate with each composition. Mr. Jackie Gleason who could not read a bit of music gave us best-selling albums as "Music For Lovers Only" and a whole string of others during his "The Honeymooners" years, "ON A SLOW BOAT TO CHINA" is a good example with Bobby Hackett on trumpet.

All of the selections are for the mature music-listener or trivia buff who still appreciate the music of yester-year. Who knows maybe the music of the '80s and '90s will be considered classics. More and more labels are going to the cupboard for timeless and period-type music, which will enhance and tell the storyline. This makes the audience feel they are part of the film, depending on the nature of the script.

This album could be played on any given day, great for just listening or having a few people over. Lots of variety and positive selections for everyone. Found this to be very enjoyable and upbeat!
